We are still working on blocking our little invaders peddling their cheap knock off shoes so , until then, the frorum has had to be locked.
Unfortunately we have been targeted by some f'idiots who think we are obviously a hot spot to advertise their little tacky Nike shoes and sports clothes. Consequently our forum is now inundated with stoopid messages from the likes of shoeskiss and shoegod selling their wares !!Sorry about that and we are looking to get rid of these annoying little tossers who really should be concentrating on their school homework and then go and pick up their mothers from the local crack house. If you want to contact us to find out about touring games against us please just e-mail us in the meantime via the contact form. For you little annoying twerps selling cheap knock off gear - we know where you live and we're sending Justin round !
Freeport Rugby Football welcome back the Atlanta Renegades this Saturday, May 26th, 2007
The Renegades have been constant visitors to the island on Memorial weekend for the past five years and this year they bring a total party of over 50 persons to Grand Bahama. With singles, families and many older players the weekend should provide not only an exciting game for the veterans on both teams but a great family day out at the club.
The days festivities will begin at 3pm with the start of the family day! Face painting, kids races and many other activities will be taking place on the rugby pitch and all are welcome to come and attend!
At 3.45pm the youth of the club will hold a youth rugby game under the watchful eye of their coach Nigel Kirkby
At 4.30pm the fun really starts with Freeport Golden Oldies v Atlanta Renegades
During the day there will also be the opportunity to sign up for this year soccer summer camp which runs from June 25th to June 29th as well as being able to purchase tickets for the eagerly awaited sports dinner at the end of the camp. It is also hoped that the traditional sporting auction ( with signed soccer shirts of David Beckham and the mighty Middlesborough AFC as well as other goodies ) will also kick off over this action packed day.
Food will be available from 3pm onwards with dinner available from 6pm and of course the bar will be open, all Day
Would-be soccer stars of the future get a real treat at the Grand Bahama soccer camp in two months time.
The coaching team from the UK will be led by a man who has just won a national award in that country for his contribution to the development of girls and women in the sport.
Tony McCallum was honoured for promoting the sport, setting up playing clubs and leagues, and developing coaching skills. Tony himself has the highest FIFA professional coaching qualifications it is possible to have.
He will lead a team of three or four volunteer coaches who will help local coaches at the event which runs for five days from June 25 to June 29.
It is the fourth in a row to be supported by the legendary English Premier League, widely recognized as the foremost, and most exciting, pro soccer league in the world, watched by 700 million people each week.
This year they are joined by the Professional Footballers Association, which looks after the interests of all pro soccer players in the UK, and Silverjet, a new all-business class airline which operates between London and New York City and is providing flights for the team.
The camp will also see the return of two very popular figures from previous camps – former international striker Luther Blissett , a free-scoring player who turned out at the highest levels in the UK and Italy, and Phil French, now a leading soccer administrator who used to work at the Premier League.
I am excited to be coming back to Freeport after last year’s very successful camp. I was very pleased to get the award.
Thanks to the support of players, coaches, teachers and clubs, the growth of girls and womens football in the county was recognised locally, regionally and nationally Tony said.
The camp will again be held at the rugby club on East Settlers Way, where work is currently going ahead on extending the pitches and training areas.
It will again run from 9am until 3pm, feature free lunch, drinks and refreshments for all children taking part, swimming in the pool, TWO free uniforms, and other goodies.
Registration forms are available at Town and Country in Yellow Pine Street, Animale at Port Lucaya, and the club. The form can also be downloaded by following the link under our football section ( football tab).
